Let the first of these events for Subversive Sonnets serve as your unofficial kick-off to Toronto’s Word on the Street weekend and join us at Beit Zatoun in the Mirvish Village on Thursday, September 20, 2012.

  • Where: Beit Zatoun, 612 Markham Street (near Bloor), Toronto, ON

We’ll reconvene at the Gladstone Hotel in November as Pam joins TSAR in celebration of all the fantastic titles on their fall list.

  • What: TSAR Publications launches its fall 2012 list, including Pamela Mordecai’s Subversive Sonnets.
  • When: Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; readings begin at 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen Street West,  Toronto, ON.

Called “sweet, acerbic, scintillating, and sassy” by Governor General’s Award-winning poet George Elliott Clarke, Pam’s Subversive Sonnets offer a fresh take on a classic poetic form. The collection, available in September, is now available for pre-order.
