Darcie Friesen Hossack to give university lecture on Mennonite writing

Mennonite author HossackBritish Columbia-based food columnist Darcie Friesen Hossack, author of the acclaimed short stories collected in Mennonites Don’t Dance (Thistledown Press 2010), is heading east this March.

On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, Darcie will be a guest of Conrad Grebel University College at the University of Waterloo. As part of “Mennonite/s Writing in Canada: The First 50 Years,” a reading and lecture series which also features Rudy Wiebe and David Bergen, Darcie will be speaking about how her Mennonite upbringing informs her writing in a talk entitled “Writing Towards Home: A Prodigal Daughter Looks Back.”
