Richard Scarsbrook to celebrate Canadian writing at BookFest Windsor

writer Scarsbrook children's young adult Monkeyface Featherless Bipeds Cheeseburger SubversiveAward-winning writer Richard Scarsbrook returns to BookFest Windsor this weekend to help the Southwestern Ontario city celebrate the variety of writing the region, and Canada as a whole, has to offer. Scarsbrook’s BookFest duties include moderating readings by winners of BookFest’s student poetry contest; running a creative writing workshop for young adults; and discussing writing for teens as part of a CBC-moderated panel.

Scarsbrook’s first BookFest appearance in 2010 marked the publication of The Monkeyface Chronicles (Thistledown Press 2010), for which Scarsbrook would later win the Ontario Library Association’s White Pine Award.
